Inventory search interface
A buyer-facing way to search available inventory and identify relevant product information.
Project detail
A custom inventory request and search workflow that helped buyers find available product information and start quote requests from inventory data.
Problem
A large fastener distributor needed a practical inventory tool that could support buyers looking for product availability and quote information. The goal was not just to show a static product list, but to create a workflow that helped a visitor move from search intent to a usable quote request.
For distributors with large catalogs, the important work is often in the details: search clarity, request structure, product context, and making sure the sales team receives enough information to follow up efficiently.
What I built
A buyer-facing way to search available inventory and identify relevant product information.
A structured flow that turned product interest into a quote request with useful context.
Custom handling behind the scenes so the tool supported the distributor's sales process.
Outcome
The finished tool gave buyers a more direct way to search inventory and start a quote request. It also gave the business a cleaner intake path for inventory-driven inquiries.
This is the kind of work I like building: practical web software that sits between a public website and a business workflow.
